What can you track with Google Tag Manager?

Here is the list of tags can be tracked in GTM :

  • Page View  trigger : Applies for all pages, Using the GA ID  as a User Defined Variable.
  • Click trigger : Two types, one is All Elements & another is Just Links
  • User Engagement trigger : Element Visibility, Form Submission, Scroll Depth & YouTube Video.
  • Timer trigger : You can set up the time to check the content performance. Example : 40 seconds min to max 1 minute. Which ever you prefer set up can be done. This will be useful to know the amount of time user spent on your site. Setup the time so that you can track the page performance in terms of images, videos, CTA Buttons & finally the content.

You can use all these triggers by using if conditions in blog, webpage, PDF forms…. By doing this you can able to track the user behavior on site. Once you know the user flow, You can change the page as per the customer requirements & what they are looking.
