Form Submission Trigger

Form Submission trigger implementation will help us to understand whether user filled the form or not Or you can consider the form functionality is working or not via GTM. This info can be tracked via Google Analytics as well. Let us go step by step of configurations :

Use Google Tag Manager’s form submission trigger to fire a tag when a form has been sent.
  1. Create a new tag and name as Contact Form Submission tag
  2. Select tag type Google Analytics
  3. Select track type to Event
  4. Mention category name to Contact Form Submission
  5. Give the action name to Contact Form submitted on Landing page
  6. Give the label name by default variable Event
  7. Select Google Analytics setting by default GA Page view

8. Create a trigger and name it as Contact Form submission trigger

9. Select the trigger type Form Submission

10. Select the option Fire this trigger when an Event occurs and all of these conditions are true.

11. Give the conditions as you can see in the screen shot with or without landing page.

12. Once you done with tags and trigger, Preview the changes and make it live.

13. Finally check in Google Analytics real time data reports
