Element Visibility Trigger can be useful to know banner impressions, pop-ups performance, form submissions visibility, Content Performance, Video Performance & image performance.  Based on user interaction,  We can look into the performance so that you can take a necessary actions on those items.

Google Tag Manager’s element visibility trigger fires when a selected element becomes visible in the web browser’s viewport.

Let us see the step by step of Element Visibility Configuration & before we move on to next step, let us know the criteria of this tag configuration – I want to know how many users viewed the  text link of video of Steve Jobs which is available in Home page. ( http://www.evaluatespeech.com/). Without view we cannot expect any clicks from users on any elements. So until unless user won’t see or view on any elements, till such time no click functionality happens from the user end.

This is the video image/link want to be tracked in terms of views, How many views we got for this particular video image link :

  1. Create a tag & name as per your requirement :

2) Select track type to event

3) Mention the category name

4) Mention the Action Name

5) Select GA page View variable

6) Create a trigger

8) Select the method either CSS or ID of the particular Image/video

9) Select when to fire this trigger

10) Once you push to live, the event will be available in Google analytics reports
